To sponsor a contest, please present your idea to any ASM E-Board member. The idea will be discussed at an E-Board meeting, and you will be informed as to whether your proposed contest could be fit into the current contest schedule. Arrangements for judging and awards are the responsibility of the sponsor.

This is a sponsored contest to celebrate and recognize the 65th anniversary of the first major F4U Corsair battles. Qualifying models may be any F4U Corsair, any variant such as a -1, -1a, -4, etc: any scale; any year; and any nationality. The winner will be determined by a Peoples Choice ballot vote. I can hear those P&W 2800s beginning to rev up now.

air kills. From Korea to present, any U.S. involved conflict or 'skirmishes'.

Documentation reference or a simple photo of the presented subject is a

This includes Grumman F4F's, General Motors eastern Aircraft FM's, British Martlets, etc. Remember, any scale qualifies but Don is fond of small, micro models and the Special Theme for the meeting is "Micro". The trophy will be a framed artist print of a F4F Wildcat during WW II with an engraved plate that says "Best Wildcat Model, Albuquerque Scale Modelers, 2007."
